This season, he played in 26 games, scoring 10 goals with 17 assists for 27 points and 57 PIM. He was also third at Mercyhurst in scoring.“We’re very excited to add a player of Scott’s caliber at this time of year. He brings a nice blend of skill, enthusiasm and energy to our lineup,†said Cameron. “He adds depth to our already strong forward lineup. I look forward to seeing him make his debut in Charlotte tonight.â€The 5’11’’, 180 pound native of Cornwall, ON played in a total of 134 games in four seasons at Mercyhurst, scoring 46 goals with 95 assists for 141 points and 152 PIM. He is seventh all-time at Mercyhurst in assists and 10th all-time in scoring. Champagne set a team record last year with a 35 game point scoring streak that stretched over two seasons.He was sitting in the stands this past weekend against Florida, and also was signing autographs after Saturday's game, so we knew he was coming. I just hope that Coach doesn't dump any other guys. :-\
hockeyfan Posted April 4, 2007 Author Report Posted April 4, 2007 Well, Thomson and Madill have been called up to the Aeros.Why take our guys?We're in a playoff run...the Aeros most certainly are not.They can always get guys from Austin of the CHL, who are also affiliated with the Aeros and ARE NOT in the playoffs.Good for Thomson and Madill, but bad for us. :-\Speaking of Ben Thomson, he and the Aeros' equipment guy(Rick Bronwell) have their own band: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up My favorite song by them is Carbo Load, which is hilarious....though Benny doesn't exactly have the best voice:
