Guest Cherokee Nation
Big comeback for the Indians. Definitely not one you can lose if you have District Championship aspirations. Ozen must have played a heck of a game.

KFDM COOP
Indians roar back on PanthersBEAUMONT – Just when it appeared Port Neches-Groves’ perfect record in District 22-4A baseball was a thing of the past, the Indians pulled a 10-run rabbit out of their hat Thursday night. Well, actually it was a five-hit, three-walk, two-error, two-hit batters, 15-men-to-the-plate sixth-inning nightmare for Beaumont Ozen as the Indians rallied for a 10-6 win at Ozen High. The Panthers led 6-0 after scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the sixth for PN-G, Drew Barnett had a two-run single and both Shawn Flores and Kane Benoit had RBI singles. Also, Jon Carnahan a single and a sacrifice fly, Eric Harrington a single and an RBI walk and Jeremy Dominguez forced another run home when he was hit by a pitch.Blake Reyenga led off the inning with a walk off Ozen starter Josh Gardiner and scored twice before the inning was through. So did Harrington and Barnett. Deston James came on in relief midway through the inning and was the losing pitcher.Carnahan led the Indian hitters with a 3-for-3 plate performance. Flores went the distance on the mound and was the winning pitcher. Now 8-0 in district, PN-G improves to 15-7 overall. Ozen is 1-7, 8-13.
