hockeyfan Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 The Wildcatters lost tonight 3-2 to the Columbia Inferno.Colin Nicholson scored and we went ahead 1-0, then the Inferno tied it up with a shorthanded goal.Then Colin Nicholson scored again(and he's not even one of our top scorers!) for us to go ahead 2-1, and the Inferno tied it up with ANOTHER shortie.Then the Inferno scored the go-ahead goal with only 2:07 left in the game. :'(So with our loss, and Florida beating Augusta, we're now in 2nd.The only way that we can clinch the division and conference titles is for us to win tomorrow and Florida lose to Augusta in regulation.BUT, if we DO finish 2nd, then we play our first two playoff games this Monday and Tuesday at Ford Arena.Hmm....clinch the division and conference and have to wait until the 17th to see hockey again.....or get 2nd and at least get to see two games this week. :-\
