OldTimer Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 I can't speak for many teams but I have to put Liberty in this column. From almost last to 1st I think is a big jump. The players have stepped up and have provided sound defense and timely hitting. The pitching has also been much - much better the last year. Liberty gets my nod as the most improved team.
EAGLE07 Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 With my limited knowledge, I will have to go with Vidor.
Guest Orangeboy Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 I gota go with Central, but HF has been way more competitve than I thought they would be. Hats off to their coaches.
duke2559 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I Know they are not one of the big schools but i would have to say Sabine Pass. three wins last year and one in the two years previous to that. They are in thrid place in district with a 7 and 4 overall record. They ahve not been 10 run ruled except for once this year and have been in every game they have played. The wooping boys no more it looks like.
rhino1877 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 If Sabine pass had a good coach they would be even better!LOL
duke2559 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Your Killin Me Hallman. Stick to JV.LOL Low blow but funny! PO
wg88pitcher Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Central. Instead of getting 10 run ruled every game, they only lose by nine.
strosbros Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Central. Instead of getting 10 run ruled every game, they only lose by nine. That is just wrong on so many levels. They have been "in" every game they have played this year and have even pulled off some major upsets. I realize they probably don't see every teams "Ace" in the pitching department, but I have had the privalege of watching them play several times this season and they can flat HIT the ball and once they make it on base, better watch out because they have incredible speed as well. They should be proud. I don't think anyone has come close to run ruling the Jags this season. It is quite possible they could pull off a few more major upsets before the district race is through.
12 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 In 4A it's definitely Vidor & Central. LCM also gets kudos for having only one returning player and currently holding second place in the district.
go stros Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 tarkington and liberty....last year tarkington finished 5th and liberty finished 6th...this year they are tied for first with liberty holding the edge with the win in the only head to head meeting....
EAGLE07 Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 As a complete, unbiased, outsider.......I go with the Pirates from Vidor.
#3_Jags Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 Central. Instead of getting 10 run ruled every game, they only lose by nine. What > , ???
Brujins44 Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 The Vidor JV team was given a huge boost with the signing of Aaron Benders for four years at $2.8 million
