Could anyone in Southeast Texas beat Newton?

You might be right, but it's kinda hard to gauge now with United's defense getting light years better right after playing Nederland and held Memorial like 40 points below their average.

Not denying they get better with time but they wouldn’t survive newton, not now. Probably to much politics involved anyway still for United. I think Ned, PNG and Vidor have a better shot at beating newton than untied. But just my opinion, stranger things have happened.

Nederland always rises up to the challenge who ever they play, the coaching staff scouts and game plans extremely well. One of the best in the area. They will find some weakness and attack it. 

Vidor would beat them if they play like they did against Crosby.

Wos had a chance at beating Crosby with an offense that people say is questionable this year. So there’s not doubt in mind that Newton would have a very good chance at winning.

We’d beat Newton for very similar reasons to why we beat WOS. 

 

By the second half they’d be so tired from playing both ways that our run game would take off. 

 

Newton would have to score 28/35 in first half to win. I don’t think our D would let that happen.

Why even go play football anymore. Let’s just let the computer decide who will win the state championship. No one is allowed to play football anymore. We will all go by Calpreps. I’m sure that website had Nederland losing to both WOS and United.

I have seen them in person twice last year. And have seen strictly highlights this year. Only way I can catch them in person is playoff time this year.

Go ask teans we’ve played our physicality is a strength this year. Oline is huge and can move. Dline is deep and can move piles. 

 

I just don’t think our defense will give up 35 in a half to anyone not named Fort Bend Marshall.

Well, you were impressed last year.  Offense wise, they are better.  Took a step back on D, but they can cause stops.  It's the offense though.  They can pass it as well as they can run.  And if they get one of those three headed monsters in space, its barbecue chicken...

Against the run I believe Nederland would stuff them on. It will be the deep ball That I think Nederland would struggle with, defending those slant routes and bubble screens  arent our cup of tea this year. And that’s where they will do most of their damage. I do get what you are trying to get at. But I think Nederland would prevail. IMO
