Greatest Players in Southeast Texas

The list could go on forever.

But IMO, the rawest, baddest dude I ever seen hit a field was from Lincoln. Now Lil Joe is before my time... But..

This dude was so cold, he was the Kicker, QB, RB, receiver, Punter, and return guy. Played the drums in the band at halftime as well.

Terry Miller......

Ernie Holmes from Wiergate, Texas. No.63 ,anchored the middle of the steel curtain for the Pittsburgh  Steelers. The high school was in Wiergate before moving the school down the road about 2 miles to Burkeville.

That was before Newton got public housing and sucked all of the talent out of Burkeville.

Carry on.

Wooster was probably the most remarkable from BC.  Matt Bryant could possibly get into the hall eventually.  Shane Dronett is a BC honorable mention.

Mark Moseley was the 1982 NFL MVP from Livingston that never made it into the Hall.

Bryant will NOT make it into the Hall no disrespect to him. But there is only 3 kickers and 1 punter in the Hall. When Vinatieri retires he will make 4.

Terry Miller is from the same bloodline as Jamaal Charles, no doubt an animal. Gotta throw my buddy Brent Duhon in here too. One of the best receivers from this area, made it to the final cut with the Bears the year they won the Super Bowl... Cotton Spreyer, and Gary Hammond both played pro ball ( TJ grads)....

Steve Wooster was a bull, he would literally run over folks. All American can at Texas .
