Hardin at Orangefield

this will probably tell us who’s the 4th seed playoff team. Anybody see it differently? Curious if Hardin can carry that momentum into OF or if the Bobcats will be too much on the road ? Who will QB for Hardin now I wonder.....

I’ll be pulling for Hardin but it will be tough. They will need to cut down on penalties and turnovers that have plagued them in previous games.

OF has QB woes as well... their senior QB (Gonzales) got hurt in the Buna game, had surgery last week and is out for the season. The new QB (Jones) is a sophomore and was pulled up from the JV.

This is a tough 3a district. Hope Hardin pulls it out, but Orangefield will be tough to stop.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the kid that started the first four games. The back up hurt his hand against EC I believe. They moved a wide receiver to qb against Kirbyville.

I have no clue depends on Haynes on if he lets his starter come back. Haven’t heard about the 2nd string finger so it might be the 3rd string again.

Orangefield hasn't been the same team since Gonzales went down. The sophomore is doing a good job, just needs varsity game experience. OF better come out with more intensity this week and on top of that it's homecoming. Loser of this game is probably out of the playoffs.

If the starter comes back they should easily beat them or the 2nd string at that... The 3rd string I believe is to inexperienced to do a bunch of throwing if he stays in all they will do is hand it off to their horse and throw it a little... I can’t make this game so hopefully someone can keep us updated.

Thanks I missed 2002 and 2003. Thanks for posting from this site. I've been missing scores for OF from 1942-1955 when OF was 6 man and this site has some of them on there.

Easily? I don’t know about that. Orangefield is going to be tough to stop with the style of ball those kids play. Question is, can Orangefield stop Hardin’s offense too? Can see this being a really tight game that comes down to who doesn’t turn the ball over. I don’t know if OF has faced a back like #3 for Hardin. But, it should be a great matchup.

it will be a fight among Orangefield, Hardin, and Anahuac.

Woodville, EC, and Buna top 3. Whoever wins this has to beat Anahuac too to get 4th.

Orangefield will stack the box on #3 and make Hardin beat them by throwing it. I do not see that happening. Orangefield by 10

Losing the Gonzales kid to injury a couple weeks ago was a major blow to Orangefield, obviously. I would assume that with a couple weeks to adjust to life without him, they will figure it out. I don't see them losing to Hardin, even without him. But, I could be wrong.

History matters...zero...when talking about 2 teams that are playing this year. Unless you're talking about last year or year before when talking about history it doesn't really matter. Burkeville won a state championship in 2001. See.. history means nothing.

That said.. I think OF wins this one by double digits.
