The teams we have beaten do not have winning records except for Crosby and they just picked up loss #2. Dayton hasn't won a game and they took us down to the wire. If the defense can't get stops at crucial times, and I'm not talking about lights out, just something, then trying to outscore an opponent isn't going to get us far. Out the 3rd round again, if we make it that far. We should have been seeing some kind of improvement by now.

What I see you have a handful of kids that are excited! The majority of the team just aren’t clicking they have no chemistry as a team like the past three years! They seem flat! I wish we had more kids that shows the emotion and care about the game as RJ does! Our fan base has lost the spirit what PNG has been known for! Never thought I would see the stands not full!

No, I am just saying I see y’all’s glass half full not half empty. I would think the coaches are trying to put the most lethal team out on the field as they can. They do get paid to coach and win. At some point if they don’t do both then they will get let go. That would motivate me to do my best as a coach. Just sayin enjoy the ride maybe the defense will catch up.

Question to the PNG faithfuls, is BF still not letting kids play both ways...? At practice a few years ago I remember several PNG fans were saying no tackling took place during practice... is this still true? I’m just curious does this play a roll to y’all defense troubles... are the boys only seeing tackling body on body come Friday nights?

I’ve never seen live tackling at practice and they’ve ran the same drills forever.

My apologies Ma'am. No we should never just be satisfied with a poor defense, on a team with no district losses. Offense scores points, Defense wins championships.

Have you ever given thought or credit that the offenses that y’all have faced so far are really good offenses also that have put up a lot points on everyone they’ve faced?

I totally agree with you. Its we're in a era where u have to score!! I dont care what classification it is high school, college, or pro.u have to put up points and hopefully ur defense gets a few stops here and there.take Manvel and highland park last year.manvel would've scored 50 on any 6A or 5A schools around. Question was could they get stops.so PNG has just as gud of a chance as anyone.and sorry to go there that's why I'm so frustrated with the old time play calling that w.o has.no creativity.just calling a play and hoping someone makes a play.and then hoping ur defense can stop teams.i truly believe that Nederland and PNG will at least go 3 rounds deep.

I was going to comment to some of these ridiculous posts but I’m going to refrain and just leave with this..............

Support your community your school and team through the ups and downs! Quit making excuses and quit trying to have all the answers! Maybe your kid or these kids you speak of would be focused on the big picture for the team and not themselves! As a fan or parent set a better example! Maybe the excitement you say they lack on the sidelines is cause people are filling their heads with negativity cause BF and crew aren’t playing them! Playing time for Booster Club members kids ....... Keep telling yourself that happens!

Do we need to improve, certainly! The coaches I’m sure realize that as well! We need to get better each week and be determined to win each week and into the playoffs! Yes everyone wants to beat Nederland but is that the big picture? Is that what makes us a successful team? Nope!

Looking forward to Santa Fe! Those kids are going to come out fighting til the end! It’s going to be another fun week of football!

I find it very ignorant to think Faircloth counts booster club dollars to determine defensive starters. Adjustments are needed but I think it comes down to lack of options.

I just can’t see PNG losing this one on homecoming night. PNG wins by 14.
