Almost to late, but Nov 10 is the birthday of the Marine Corp.  So Happy Birthday to the Corp, my son, and any other jarheads on here.

And Happy Veterans Day to all my fellow Vets, and absent companions.  All the best guys and gals.

I was the oldest surviving male of the family since my Dad and older brother had passed on so I was effectively ineligible for the draft and never served. Dad was a merchant marine in WWII. The MM was not considered a member of the armed forces back then. Now, I think they are. An uncle I never knew was MIA. Mom always thought he would just show up some day. Knowing her, she probably still hopes for that day. She is 95.

I give thanks all the time for the servicemen who are serving and who have given their lives so that my family and I can live in the greatest country the world has ever seen. Can't comprehend anyone feeling any differently.

THANK YOU!
