He was more talented than probably most people know. He could have played a rubber band strung between a broom handle and a #3 washtub. His Achilles was his voice. Think he was a good guy. R.I.P.

Hell, I even liked his voice. Had a song called "Yesterday, When I Was Young" in the late 60's. Kind of a slow ballad type of song. RIP to a legend.

Me too.  That song was a great one.  I guess what you might call a haunting melody.  Spent many an hour watching Hee-Haw.  A time when America could still laugh at itself.  Until then, if you want to talk to him, call BR-549.
