Lumberton vs Henderson

Next Friday @ 1 pm... Nacogdoches HS. Going to be a tough game, what do y’all know about Henderson?

Looked on max preps. On paper almost identical to Lumberton (Wins/losses/points, etc). Carthage beatem 31-0. Don’t know much else.

Henderson is down their QB.. They moved their stud WR to QB and running out of the wildcat. If we stop the run we have a chance. They’re not throwing that much are at lest they didn’t tonight.

That score against Carthage is surprising. I mean, I know it’s carthage and all, but I would have thought they would have at least scored. Carthage is a beast though!

Thats gonna help. I’d rather play a running qb. I heard he is a good athlete though!

My knowledge of Henderson I hear they have a good run defense. They will have athletic kids

Here is a quick rundown on Henderson. Stumbled out of the gate losing to 5A Whitehouse and then 4AD2 champs Pleasant Grove to start the season...then won six in a row...then got smoked by Carthage and lost to 9-2 Van by 1 pt in a game where Henderson turned it over 5 times. Offense has been inconsistent and lost starting QB last week but put up 450 yards offense tonight against a good Crandall team. Defense is pretty darn good especially against the run.

Sounds like yalls strength on defense verses our strength on offense. This will be my first time to ever see Henderson play.

Henderson has athletes. Unless Lumberton can win the turnover battle by 2 or 3, Henderson should win this ballgame. (I have a semi-bias as I married a Henderson grad).

I dont think Lumberton can just line up and run the ball down Hendersons throat. If the Raiders can not throw the ball with some success they will have a difficult time imo.

Henderson lost their starting QB last game of district but #12 moved from WR to QB and ran for 140 last night. #6 comes in for the wildcat also went for over 100. I think Henderson was 7/12 passing. The offense has been inconsistent this season but as another poster said Henderson does have some athletes.

Hoping and pulling for Lumberton but Henderson will win this one by three TD's.
