Grandview by 7.

QB is too good. EC has a very good and physical defense, but I don't see them getting enough pressure on the QB to force him into making bad decisions with the football. Offensively, the Bucs will put up points in bunches, which will keep them in the game and make it a great ballgame. EC won't be able to run the ball unless they open up lanes with a successful passing attack. Grandview has beaten arguably the two best rushing offenses in the state in class 3A (Woodville and Franklin) in consecutive weeks. It'll be a great game. Go Bucs! Not too shabby for a "down" year lol

I bet longball feels pretty silly lol

Franklin and Woodville have a totally different rushing scheme than EC. And speed kills, these two backs are crazy fast!

By no means do I feel silly. It just reinforces my opinion that you must run a more balanced offense.can not just run the ball over and over again. EC has the perfect balance. I have picked them earlier to make the regional finals. I believe now they have what it takes to win State. I hope they get it done and we learn something from 3 consecutive years of 2 and out.

Neither are faster than Martin from Woodville. They produce as well as they do because of how successful the passing attack is. It makes the linebackers and safeties have to stay honest, so once they hit a hole, there's alot of grass. They're very good though and this should be a great game. Wish I could make it. I'll be in Arlington though hopefully. Maybe I'll see them there with the other two SETX teams I expect to make it two more rounds lol

What I said had zero to do with your opinion of a balanced offense. I agree with that statement. I was referring to your comments stating that Franklin would easily beat Grandview. Lol

I will not get into a argument with you over  our failure here. This is about the success of EC. They are representing the district well. Now finish it.

What is the stadium like in Madisonville?

Visitor side is really small... Franklin played crockett there in 2015 a 4th round game and ALOT of people had to stand along the fence i was one of them... I was shocked that we played at such a small stadium that far into the playoffs

Both AD's need a public reprimand for agree to play here. What a joke. People wonder why small school football is not taken that seriously from the outside world.

So why is this stadium not good enough?

As for travel, it's as close to halfway as it can get. 2 1/2 hours for both schools.

If it can't hold the traveling fan base, it shouldn't even have been an option.
