Newton 79 Daingerfield 12/FINAL

The Newton Eagles look to take another step toward a second consecutive Class 3A, Division II State Championship as they take on the Daingerfield Tigers in this Class 3A, Division II Region III Final!

W.T. Johnston's Eagles, 12-0 on the season, got to this round with a 69-0 bi-district win over Omaha Pewitt, followed by a 59-5 area round win over Grand Saline and a 69-14 regional semifinal win over Troup. 

Meanwhile, the Tigers, 11-2 on the season and runner up in District 11-3A-II, reached this round with a 64-13 bi-district win over Anderson-Shiro, a 48-30 area round win over Big Sandy Harmony and a 62-0 regional semifinal win over Corrigan-Camden.

The winner of this game will face the winner of the Region IV Final involving East Bernard and Tidehaven next week in the State Semifinals.
