Bon_Mot Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 The proposal going to the UIL from TASCO is to expand the number of districts per region from 8 to 16. This will allow the 3A's to form their own districts in some parts of the state and should help with overcrowding problem throughout the state. However, I have NO IDEA what the play-off bracket will look like, and I don't know which teams will go where. I got confirmation that HF will try and start a boys and girls soccer program to compete as a JV next year. Nothing official from BC, though... But to speculate a little, the local 3A might be:SilsbeeHJWO-SBCHFJasper (maybe?)And the 4A would probably look like it does in all the other sports:LCMPort NechesNederlandOzenCentralVidorLumberton(Has Dayton heard of "soccer" yet?)
soccer4ever Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Just got word from Bridge City that they are going to have a soccer program. However it will not start until the 2008-2009 season. Reason being they did not want to just jump in without looking for a coach or finding a coach that would take the teams.
