ABCD14 Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 One player that deserves a look is Senior pitcher, Josiah Svoboda. He is dealing with some arm troubles right now but is still wheelin and dealin for the Bruins out at West Brook...Every time I've seen this kid touch the mound, he has been dominating. With a fastball in the high 80's, and a nasty duece, he definitely has the talent to play at a D1 college, but maybe the best route would be a JUCO, to give his arm time to heal. I will give stats on him later.Good luck Josiah
wg88pitcher Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Yeah, this kid is really pitching good right now leading West brook to two must have wins his last two outings against Kingwood and Sterling. Surprised no colleges are after this guy. My guess is he will probably attend a juco and then transfer out to a d1 depending on how good he is. Then from there, who knows...could be the hall of fame ;D.
fancy_ketchup69 Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 yea..this kid really is a good pitcher..he could definetely succeed at a D1 college he would probly dominate at a JUCO
Critter Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Is he a LHP or a RHP... ??? ??? I think it makes a difference at the next level.
mark serna Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Josiah is a right handed pitcher throwing consistent in the mid 80s and occasionly hitting the upper 80s. The thing about Josiah is he is 6 foot 3 and has more growing left in him(very projectable). I would not be surprised to see Josiah throwing in the 90s consistantly in the near future.
Brujins44 Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Serious talent in Svoboda. add a few pounds to his tall pitcher's frame and heal his arm problems, and you have a force to be reckoned with at the college level
