Motorama Speedway

Motorama Speedway will play host to the first SUPR Late Model show to come to the area in eight years on Friday night.

The race program will also feature racing in modifieds, pure stock and Jr. mini stocks.

Motorama is located on West Highway 90 between Beaumont and China. The gates open at 5 p.m. Friday, and racing starts at 8 p.m. Senior citizens receive a grandstand discount every race night.

Ben Bruce Raceway

Here are the results from racing Saturday at Ben Bruce Memorial Airpark Raceway.

Gates open at noon Saturdays and racing starts at 1 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The track will feature the Madness Series on Saturday, the Aftershock on May 5 and the Texas Pro Stock Association on May 19.

This weekend there will be a big race the local KART track in Port Acres on the corner of Jade RD. & Hwy 365.

We will have hot laps at 6:30 PM and the racing is set to start at 7:00PM.

We are supposed to have karts traveling from Houston, Tyler, Corpus Christi and also some from the Lafayette LA. area.

Should be a lot of racers there this weekend.

If you like racing you need to come out and check out how fast these karts are running.

The karts are turning 12.7 second lap times, very good racing.

We had about 65 karts show up for Saturday night.

The track was a little dusty but that was ok because we made some changes to the set up  and won our heat and feature.

We will have another local points race there at the Port Artur track on      Saturday May 5th.

:o 15.01 second lap times = good racing, come out and watch.
