Travis Dyson Throws Out First Pitch

Good Gesture

Before Friday's game between LCM and Dayton Travis Dyson, with family in attendance, threw out the first pitch.  Dyson's father Obie was killed in an auto accident last weekend while coming home after umpiring a game.  Obie was scheduled to work the Bears game Friday. The other umpires wore black armbands in his honor.

It was a very moving thing for me to watch. We will wear the black armbands for the remainder of the regular season this year

the little league umpires are wearing them also..they had them on at a game friday night at the ballpark.  Nice gesture!!
