Guest Ozen Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 I was listening to Tidwell, the new women's basketball coach, who was doing an interview on KLVI during the LU baseball game tonight and he said another assistant coach would be announced real soon, one that has ties to LU. This is very unofficial, but sounds very much to me like it may be Ancelot. I certainly hope so. Retaining the interim head coach and assistant from last season was a good move because it helps with the transition and in retaining players. Ancelot, if she turns out to be the selection, would give an instant and constant boost to local recruiting. And, of course Tidwell has contacts all over this state and even the region for that matter. I see nothing but great things ahead for this program.Also, he mentioned that seven players are returning from this years team. He has signed the one recently announced, but still has several scholarships (sounds like 5 to me) to offer, so look for some major talent to be picked up in upcoming weeks. He said the seven that are returning will work hard this summer and he believes they will be greatly improved. He is looking for the program to have immediate success.
