rhino1877 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 WHAT????? Is that a typo??? Sounds like someone underestimated their opponent!
KFDM COOP Posted April 12, 2006 Author Report Posted April 12, 2006 No Typo. Just not playing well right now at all.
Waterboy Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Some players did a great job, but some didn't do good at all
baseballdad Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 heard Ayers played catcher and did pretty good ?
mustangs_2007 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 yea ayers came into catch in the 4th when terry veitch went into pitch
mustangs_2007 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 eric sparks started but being sick didnt help at all and 7 errors didnt help then veitch pitched from the 4 till the 7th and errors didnt help him and the stangs couldnt get any timely hits when they needed it
Waterboy Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Sparks was not sick and they were hitting him when he didn't walk them
Guest Jody Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 seems like people are always sick when they lose....mostly after the game just my $.02 It's called the WOS flu. They get it just before they determine their next opponent is much better and it really hits them hard after the loss. Some are still recovering from the Wimberly game last year.
ESPN Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 No they were laughing and cutting up after the Anahuac game. These are football guys. There were talking about how bad there're going to beat Barber's Hill come Football Season. By the way at least they made it to the Final 4 in Football, BH lost to ??? Again!
adminbaberuth Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 No they were laughing and cutting up after the Anahuac. These are football guys. There were talking about how bad there're going to beat Barber's Hill come Football Season. I hope that was just tongue in cheek ESPN. Laughing and cutting up after a lost when your in the thick of playoff run doesn't sound too good. The Stangs just had a bad game, it's not over yet.
Homer Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 From what I hear it is not tongue and cheek. I have talked to a few people who have said they were even acting like that after the HJ loss Friday night. Except for a few seniors it seems like they could care less. Bad situation. Wait till next year in the new district. UGLY.
RmR9002 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 thats definitely not want you want. especially if you HAD a chance at a playoff spot.
baseballdad Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 It's called the WOS flu. They get it just before they determine their next opponent is much better and it really hits them hard after the loss. I guess nobody was sick when they beat BH!!
stang4life Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 Anyone who knows any of these kids would know that more than just the seniors care. Note: I said "any" and not "all". As for the football players on the team, you have to watch them on the field to appreciate their efforts. They are athletes (not just players) and they usually give their all. And, trust me...their recovery efforts from Wimberly is what drives them...not hinders them. :thumbsup
mustangs_2007 Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 there are 5 baseball players that play football and was on the field against wimberley earl thomas jacoby franks seth thomas dominique rhodes terry veitch
HSBASEBALL Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Sparks blew the game for them. Now we know he is not "2nd Best In Southeast Texas." Actually not one of the best at all!
MIF04 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Man, that's just mean. Sparks is a very good pitcher, although I think I'm on record as disagreeing with previous posts that he was 2nd best. I also don't think 1 kid blows a game like that. You gotta have 9 guys 'blowing it' to lose to Anahuac.
hfaninthestands Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 I agree that it has to be a team effort or lack there of....but, i had a feeling that anahuac would sneek up on someone this year, especially playing them at their place....just didn't think it would be against WOS
Guest BobcatBeliever Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Baseball is a team sport.....Period, point blank...You win as a team and you lose as a team!!!!!
Guest Jody Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 seems like people are always sick when they lose....mostly after the game just my $.02 You hit that nail on the head. The "WOS Fever" is what it is commanly known as. I figured it would be right under Hook's name in the so called football hall of fame. Coach who mastered the looser's flu spin.
