There will be a coaches all-district meeting to decide.  The all-district selections will be released once every school, from that district, is out of the playoffs.

Policy behind it is so that you don't have kids disappointed (or parents) while that team is still in playoffs.  Coaches have been adamant about it over the years for that reason.

nah, those days are over....parents are very understanding these days...just release the results...

Last year at our athletic banquet we got our all-district awards and we were 2 days away from our fisrt round game.

At end of year banquets, etc...coaches do announce their own all-district (but not the entire all-district team).  It won't be released for publication until everyone in that district is through with playoffs.

mlb has an all star game in the middle of the freaking year....

colleges announce theirs around regional time....
