KFDM COOP Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 North Sabine---Black Bayou is producing good catches of flounder on glow colored curl-tailed grubs tipped with shrimp and on finger mullet. Reds are fair in East Pass on outgoing tides on cut bait. Specks are fair in the channel around the islands on swimming plugs and on the main lake on chartreuse plastics when the winds are calm. South Sabine----The south shoreline has been good for specks around mullet concentrations on Little Fishies and other plastics. The reef continues to produce fair numbers of trout on eel imitations. Reds are scattered. Very few reports of flounder. Sabine Pass---The winds have kept most anglers away from the jetties. Keith Lake has been good for trout and flounder around the cut on chartreuse/glow and pearl/pink shrimptails and grubs.
