He had Baker for 3 years, so he should get some credit for that. Kyler for 2 All of these major D1 recruits are naturally gifted athletes or the big schools wouldn’t give them the time of day. Quote
TXHORN_ET Posted January 16, 2019 Report Posted January 16, 2019 I agree with ya on that Phat. I’m just hurt that Hurts chose the Sooners. Quote

king Posted January 17, 2019 Report Posted January 17, 2019 I wanted Hurts at first but I think Tate will be a really good qb for Miami. He reminds me of Baker UTfanatic 1 Quote

Tigers2010 Posted January 17, 2019 Author Report Posted January 17, 2019 I am not saying Jalen sucks. But from a QB perspective, he is nowhere near Mayfield or Murray. I don't see how that is even debatable. Quote
navydawg31 Posted January 17, 2019 Report Posted January 17, 2019 The run first mentality isn’t going to work with that crappy defense OU has. Quote
team first Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 Tx fans panicking!!!!!! As they should be Quote
TxHoops Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 Someone remind me how the sec did in those bowl games.... Fact of the matter is, QB play has been weak in that conference as have the offenses. The “prolific” Georgia offense looked rather pedestrian against Texas, as did Tua against Clemson. All things considered, this is the happiest I’ve been about an OU QB in a few years at least. Hurts is serviceable, he’s not close to what they’ve had imo. Quote
TxHoops Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 Put another way, would any Texas fan on this board take Hurts over Ehlinger? I didn’t think so. Quote

Well, their top two teams went out and got punched right in the mouth. Even though they hadn't played a game in a few weeks, the homers will use the usual excuse: they beat up each other in conference play. TxHoops 1 Quote

Significant step down from Mayfield and Murray. We will see your Tigers Sept. 7th. Come early, stay late, wear orange. Quote

TexazBall Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 As an unbias fan, To be completely honest they're both the same type of QB, run first, I would say Sam is a better passer though, while Jalen is the better runner. The difference is Sam runs the type of offense that fits him for 2+ yrs. While Jalen is in a pass first with no experience, but he still will be a weapon in Rileys offense, Im pretty sure he's going to mold a little more to Jalen and play to his strengths. Quote

Both have the same arm issues. Neither throws the deep ball that great. I would like to see Hurts play behind UT's o-line when Ehlinger started. Quite different than Bama's. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted January 23, 2019 Report Posted January 23, 2019 Starkel is transferring. He will be a good QB somewhere with 2 years to play Quote

TexazBall Posted February 7, 2019 Report Posted February 7, 2019 Shane Buchele Transfering to SMU. Good for him The ponies seemed like the best fit, No starting QB and he should have some talent around him , not to mention he’s back home , being from Arlington. hope to see big things this year in Dallas CRUSHCOACH and TxHoops 2 Quote
PhatMack19 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 Fields is ruled eligible immediately at Ohio St. I guess all you have to do is play the race card and the NCAA waives their rules Quote
