I figured the 20 point differential would be halftime differential! It's not at all. This team haven't improved at at all since day 1. They play down to competition and if the record was kept for most turnovers in a season this team would shatter it. Nederland has more fundamentals basketball IQ then this team just lack the talent. The coach make ZERO adjustments and I don't think he comes into the game with a plan. But some how they are now 6-1. Mean Machine 1 Quote

BMTSoulja1 Posted January 16, 2019 Report Posted January 16, 2019 I agree... You get these wins and get in the playoffs with a higher seed to have a better chance of advancing. Playoffs, everyone is 0-0. Lets see what happens... I'm not gonna lie. The Lady Titans team looked bad with the exception of one really good player. But they were playing United, so that probably explained a lot. I figured they'd gotten a little better by now..... Quote

Was team missing 80% of their free throws and shot attempts, were the foul calls 2 to 1 in one teams favor, did fouls make key player(s) have to sit, were fouls not called at all, which would give less skilled team greater chance to stay in game against team with better basketball skill? Lot of possible factors that would make a score appear to be closer than it "should". I do agree a win is a win, there are no extra credit style points. Coach.Shu 1 Quote

This is even more true with the girls game..... smh Quote
OneChance Posted January 16, 2019 Report Posted January 16, 2019 See my previous post about HS Refs! I will have to say the last two games we have played the ref’s have been better. Quote

They must have taken your "constructive criticism" to heart, and made it part of their New Year's Resolutions Package, lol. Quote

The problem is and one chance can confirm this is the best player clearly on the floor only avg about 8 touches a game and makes 60 to 75 % of those normally with 2-3 people on her. The rest of the team which probably shoots at a 15 to 20% clip wide open at about 50 attempts. You would not let's get it to our star player but this team mind frame is the opposite. Mean Machine Posted January 17, 2019 Report Posted January 17, 2019 I can confirm it also, as I posted in the Lumberton vs PAM game from the BH tourney. My post was basically " how every offensive possession does not run thru #5 I will never understand". My daughter played in same AAU Org with #5 and One Chance's daughter. I know first hand the skill level, the athletic ability that #5 brings to the court. She is a force if she would be utilized properly. Good luck the rest of the season, and hang in there, lol.
