Go-rilla Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 7 feet is the amount of space given to a runner, so their stride will not be interupted. If this foul is committed it is the meets duty to call it. Huntsville or the UIL, or whoever hosted this thing should make a call. Not Dayton, or Joe Carter. Those BH kids got jipped, everyone knows that, but it's not Dayton or Joe Carter's fault. Please Quit writing me and calling me. This is an opinion website. If you dont want to read mine dont.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 For everyone that has ran track from junior high to high school.I don't think you can find one person who hasn't been "cut off" going into a curve.I had it happen to me more than once and I know it cost me some seconds on my time. What did I learn... If you don't want to get cut off, then speed up and don't let the guy pass you. What did my coach tell me...Champions adapt and overcomeLosers make excusesMy coach wouldn't even let me tell him that I got cut off, he kept stressing to me to that to become better you can't spend your time making excuses.Go back and look at what Zola Budd did in the 1984 Olympics...She cut off Mary Decker even worse than what happened last week and NO FOUL was called!!!Google Mary Decker and Zola Bud and read about it!!!Getting cut off is part of track.GOOD LUCK DAYTON BRONCOS IN THE STATE MEET!!!!Bring back the title!!!
Guest distancerunner10 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 come on now its over now...so all i can say is good luck to dayton at state bring home the win
Stranger Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 People wrote you and called you Go-rilla cause you are a complete idiot. You were nowhere near Huntsville for the meet and you have to throw your 2 cents in like you know what you are talking about. Nice sucking up to Coach Wood at Daytoh, are you still looking for a new job? You are still mad at the decision you made not long ago....leaving BH for Tarkington. You gotta be kidding me.
JS Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Ok that's enough!!!! Come on guys!!I agree---all of this does not help the Dayton or Barbers Hill communities---it is time to let it go
Go-rilla Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 stranger this is your one post on here. Nice one. No I have no regrets. I'm not sucking up to anyone, I have a job for next year. Good luck to You guys, Hope the best for yall.
bmtdc1996 Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 can anyone who has video of this race put it on youtube or some where so I could see it. i am a former track coach and would like to take a look at this infamous race which seems to have caused world war fourteen between Dayton and BH.
Crawdad Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 The race will be posted on www.youtube.com either today or tomorrow. I will post again when I get it on there.
Crawdad Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 The video is posted @ www.youtube.com. I called it "Barbers Hill/Dayton Mile Relay Regional 2007." You can do a search when you get into youtube.com using a keyword like Barbers Hill, Dayton, or Mile Relay and it will come up. Everyone feel free to make comments.
Crawdad Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 If the video is not there yet then give it awhile. The youtube site says it can take up to eight hours before a search will pick up the video.
hj_hawk_60 Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 thought this was cool... its a video of a sophmore(in highschool) running a 9.97 second 100 meter...
