BigTuna Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 This is not to start controversy, just to get some predictions from the board.MVPCould go to many players here.Schooling,Calhoun-SilsbeeTreece-HJStringer-BCReagan-JasperOutfieldDishon-BCCalhoun-SilRoebuck-HJGeautreau-HJThomas-WOSOther positions will be tight.Good luck to all in the playoffs.
Guest Orangeboy Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 When will these picks officially be held?
espn2 Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Surely the district champion had the MVP. I mean Schooling and Calhoun didn't make the playoffs. Stringer didn't pitch well in the game to win the district title (from what I heard, wasn't there). Now a strong case could be made for Treece, but a slight edge would have to go to the district champion.
BigTuna Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 When will these picks officially be held?I believe May 9.

BigTuna Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 dumb thread without stats to back it...players should be chosed based on perfermance, not how many times the media asked to scrub their royal balls...If it's dumb, then don't post anything. Like I said, this is not to start controversy, just conversation. Also, I guess only dumb people post on dumb topics, so we all fall in that category.
Guest Orangeboy Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 seriously is there anything he isnt good at..Heard his Chinese Checkers game leaves something to be desired.
BigTuna Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 He made some outstanding plays and can hit it a mile, don't know what his avg. was like.
midcountymadness Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 imo the mvp should be from the district champion and sometimes a co mvp might be given to a kid that is on one of the other 2 playoff teams
Critter Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 IMO...The District MVP should be the best player in District....Who would be the MVP from Jasper???? They played great as a team but who stands out for MVP ??? ??? ???
Critter Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Just an Example: What your saying is if there is a guy who hits 20 Hr's in a single season and breaks all kinds of records who is on a team that doesn't make the playoffs, he shouldn't be MVP ??? ??? Just wondering
MIF04 Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Nominees for MVP should include:Jasper: Reagan, Parsons, HartBC: Dishon, StringerHJ: TreeceSilsbee: SchoolingYou will probably find your offensive and defensive MVP in that list somewhere as well.
3amagic Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Give us a more real example of who you think the MVP is.It is kind of like Kobe Bryant not winning the NBA MVP. Everyone agrees he is the best player and leads the league in scoring, but others have helped their team achieve more.I can't think of any instances where it shouldn't be the best player on the best team.
midcountymadness Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 IMO...The District MVP should be the best player in District....Who would be the MVP from Jasper???? They played great as a team but who stands out for MVP ??? ??? ???!!!!!!!!!!.....Said the guy from the second place team.
Critter Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 !!!!!!!!!!.....Said the guy from the second place team. And where might your team be ??? ??? Surely not Nederland that BC run ruled... ;D ;D ;D

adminbaberuth Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 And where might your team be ??? ??? Surely not Nederland that BC run ruled... ;D ;D ;DBridge City will be well represented in the all-districts pics. IMO, you have a guy who could get Newcomer of the Year or MVP.
3amagic Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Like last year when Howard won the MVP but the Phillies didn't win the World Series...That's all I'm trying to say..Didn't say it never happens just that it shouldn't. Anyone with any since knows that Pujols was the MVP.You still didn't give me an example of who you thought the MVP was in this district?

Ty Cobb Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I don't think any one team will dominate the All-district selections. I think there will be 4 to 5 players from each of the top 4 teams and 2 to 3 players from each of the remaining schools.
shs85 Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 If ya'll are going to saw that Sam is better than Joe, then give some stats to back it up!!
THEWAVE Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Matt Hicks Freshman BC batting avg 410 in district. This kid has had a great year.
