Lamar State College-Port Arthur Try-Out Camp

Lamar State College-Port Arthur will have an open tryout camp for the

2007-08 Seahawks women's softball team at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, on

Martin Field, 1000 Lakeshore Drive on the LSC-PA campus.

The tryouts are open to 2007 high school seniors and students currently

enrolled or planning to be in college in the fall.

The Lamar State Seahawks compete in Region XIV, a Division I conference

of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

The college has some scholarships available for the coming year.

Interested players are asked to fill out the Student-Athlete

questionnaire on the Softball page of the Lamar State College-PA

I really hope they can put it all together. If they could be a successful program, that would be great for this area's softball.
