KFDM COOP Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 Astros prospect suspended for drugsSantangelo, first in organization penalized for use, to miss 50 games Catcher Lou Santangelo, who was at spring training with the Astros and began the season at Class AA Corpus Christi, on Monday became the first player in the organization to be suspended for using performance-enhancing drugs.Major League Baseball suspended Santangelo for 50 games, effective Monday, for using a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the minor-league drug prevention and treatment program.
