justryansmom Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 HI Cards. You hold your heads up and get back into this game. Y'all were not playing ball like we know you can. Your school, your parents, your community and your friends are all very proud of you and know that you can do this. We all be out there rooting you on Friday night. Now, LET'S GO CARDINALS!!!!
justryansmom Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Sievers and Hall pitched and way too much happened for me to type. There were alot of errors made on HI's part and Fayetteville just played an awesome ballgame. One other thing we all have to look at is High Island has 9 players. They have played their hearts out this whole season and have done a tremendous job with NINE players. When announcing the line up at last night's game, the Fayetteville players just kept on coming. They had enough players to make a whole 'nother team! As a matter of fact, in looking at their roster now, they have as many pitchers on their team as HI has players!!! Sievers and Hall have pitched awesomely (10-3 and 6-2 respectively), but they are only two players. No matter what happens tomorrow night, those boys from High Island need to be PROUD!!!
sps #20 Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 was sievers of his game or was fayetteville juss that good?????
MIA Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Fayetteville was spankin the ball all night......Sievers did his job but there were errors in the field.....but most of the hits were in the gaps.....Fayetteville is a hitting team
strosbros Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 That is incredible to only have 9 players and compete and make the play-offs as they have. Keep your chins up, you should be proud of what you have accomplished, best of luck in the rest of this series.
Jdaniel Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Fayettville came out to play ball and put their mark on the field in the first inning. Fayettville set the tempo in the top of the first inning and stayed focused on their goal. To High Island's shagrin, they were unable match the intensity of their opponents' desire and focus. We applaud and respect Fayetville's ability to smack the ball around the diamond while standing in the batter's box without fear. A bit of fear and/or a lack of playoff experience gathered momentum on the Cardinal's side leaving the players standing on the field and in the batter's box while wishing and wanting. Sadly, the innings dragged on and runs piled up on the board like a pile of dishes that nobody wanted to wash after Thanksgiving Dinner. The Cardinals are not accustomed to losing, but rather, have made it a habit to adjust to changing situtations and do what ever is necessary to secure a win. Coach Hooker has manufactered a win when necessary and I strongly suspect that his creative juices have been flowing after this last game. One humbling experience like this past Wednesday has taught the Cardinal a huge lesson. Coach Hooker is using every molecule of Brain Matter to devise a plan and convince his players "It is in their destiny to win." Will there be a second blow out? Will Fayetteville come into this game with to much confidence? Does Fayetville really believe they can send their cheerleaders out on the field and beat the Cardinals? Is this what Fayetville is thinking? The 3rd game on Saturday is the game to go Watch... CU There!!! ;D
