Today we celebrate The Republic of Texas Independence Day..  It’s been 183 years since this Great Country was founded.  For all of you blessed enough to call yourselves Texans, enjoy.  I’m reminded of something my Dad told me shortly before I left home to serve in the US Army.  “Son, never ask anyone where they’re from.  If they’re from Texas they’ll tell you, and if not, you don’t want to embarrass them.”  I gave my son that same advice before he left to serve in the US Marine Corp.  It served us both well.

Perhaps, some day in the future, it may be a Republic again.  We can only hope, for the seeds of insanity and Godlessness infest America.
