bart hiller
Dayton 4x4 Track Team Disqualified at State Meet !!It happened tonight, the 1st leg ran out of his lane 3+ steps and was DQ'd. He is on film doing the same at the Regional Meet, but was not caught.
texans
Yes Dayton was disqualified, that happens. Bart Hiller you are a typical barbers hill person. Great job this year setting yalls school record 3:19, we ran under that 3 times this year. Also barbers hill the last 2 years had the fastest time in the region at some point during the year. Then the other teams out worked them keeping barbers hill at home. Look anytime barbers hill has to step up and play serious competition in football and track they go home. The biggest difference between us is that dayton is a class act, they are not making excuses what was called was called and we accepted it. We didnt go around crying and wishing bad things on others. bheagle07
if dayton wouldnt have cut us off in the regional meet we were on pace to run a 3.16, faster than dayton ran at state after they cheated. if dayton was a "class act" then they wouldnt have cheated two weeks in a row. im just happy that the second time it caught up to them.WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!!! Guest CougarPride
Please i'M TIRED OF HEARING ALL OF THIS, Not only would Dayton have smoked yall anyways but our guy at Crosby would have smoked yall also, Our guy who won first at the regional track meet in the 400 was our anchor leg and he would have passed patton on the last curve just like he did in the 400 in the district meet. Yall had an okay team that would not have finished top three anyway so stop the crying and get over it Bhill
SETEXFan
Here is the best way I can describe Barbers Hill. with money that expects everyoe to bow down to what they want because they have alittle bit of money. People with real money expect their kids to do well and not make excuses. These would include Southlake, Highland Park, and Clear Lake. Those families have wealth that has been earned in the business world and not making 70$ an hour watching a gauge and coming home smelling like propane. Dayton kids expect nothing to be given to them. Sure they would like it but they have to fight for every bit of respect that they get and it is earned, they do not believe that it is their right. Ask Central about Dayton and they will tell you who they respect more, Dayton or Barbers Hill. Ask West Orange, or Crosby who they respect more. Dayton got DQ'ed, ok, bad deal, it happens. It happens in the olympics as well. Bad things happen to good people all of the time. The true character comes out in a person when those things happen. You either cry, and moan or you accept it and work to get better. Well I guess there is another difference in Dayton and Barber's Hill.Oh and I can't wait for the intelligent come back that Dayton families work for those bosses in the plant. If that is the best that you can come up with please save your typing skills.
Oracle
I love how a track meet can make a person call a school "white trash" and bring money into the issue. Great job stereotyping an entire school too.EDIT: KFDM COOP took out the part where he called barbers hill white trash, thank you COOP
PURPLE 4EVER
People, please!!!In your life you will experience the "thrill of victory and the agony of defeat".A champion will remain modest in victory and in defeat will blame no others but his/herself. Sometimes the agony of defeat stings so bad it hurts, even when it comes from a bad call or just a poor performance. From looking at the video from the regional meet, if you have to go frame by frame to see "an infraction" then obviously an official in real time will not see it. Both runners never broke stride till the baton was dropped (however it was dropped, kicked out or whatever).Dayton went to Austin and got DQed. Dayton should not only feel like that they let their school and coaches down, but also this entire region (including Barbers Hill) whom they were representing. The four runners from Dayton should be proud they got to Austin, but I know they are experiencing the "agony of defeat". If their coaches and parents confront this setback correctly, then the runners will learn from this and become better athletes, by not making excuses or blaming others with "video tape evidence", but by realising what they did wrong.Remember...Champions adapt and overcome, losers make excuses.Congrats to the Dayton runners on a great season, and good luck to Barbers Hill and their baseball team! stang4life
To the Dayton Relay Team...I really hate to hear that you were DQ'ed. As a parent, I pray that the race doesn't false start, no one is DQ'ed, and no one is hurt. I truly hope that some of your relay team members are not seniors and to those who are...YOU DID WHAT ONLY SEVEN OTHER TEAMS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS DID...YOU MADE IT TO STATE. That, young men, is nothing to hang your head about. If I knew any one of these posters (from whereever) GLOATING in these KIDS' disqualification...I would be ashamed to be related to you or even know you. These kids worked as hard (if not harder to make it to the state meet). BH was dealt a bad blow, but stuff happens.

stang4life
Dear Oracle...what name did you go before you posted your previous two posts?I don't recall (not that it did not happen) Dayton gloating because BH dropped the baton. I think that they defended the notion that they somehow intentionally "kicked" the baton out of your guy's hand, but they are just defending their efforts. If anyone is gloating...remember that these kids have busted their butts to get to that meet and if they don't live up to the extremely high expectations that they have set for themselves...how do you think some of these very heartless and thoughtless comments make them feel. ??? This topic has gotten way out of hand and I never would have dreamed BH fans or athletes reacting this way. Most BH fans wouldn't and don't act or talk that way. I think the problem here is that most adult are aware that they are talking about kids. Kids get on here and say goofy stuff and get people all upset. It needs to be dropped and just move on. Please. Oracle
It needs to be dropped and just move on. Please.AgreedBut in my defence to daytons gloating, I meant when they walked past barbers hill holding there medals towards them.Once again, gloating over someones defeat or DQ or whatever isn't right, it just happens. Both sides are at fault.

jmspears3
Congrats Dayton On a fine Season, These 4 young men have nothing to be ashamed of. There will be better times ahead for these young men. As for all the people saying they cheated is just plain stupid, and it only shows your personal shortcomings.
SETEXFan
Oracle, you are correct if they would have done that. But once again you are lying. Not one of them held their medals out to gloat, they should have after dealing with the people from Barbers Hill saying the things they were, especially the skinny little runner that ran his mouth, that would have run behind a Patton if things would have broke loose. Oracle, you are wrong for the things you said then and now, you have done nothing but gloat in the defeat of the Dayton runners and as an adult you should be ashamed of yourself as well as some of the adults that were with you all that day at Huntsville. I would like to thank these four young men for paying the price to be champions. It was a terrible break but one that happens even at the highest level. Joe and PJ, good luck in your futures at the Univ. of Houston and UTSA. Ford and KJ, get you butt back to work and in the weight room and get ready for another run at a championship. thebronco1
Well things happen!!!!! i personally kno for a fact that all four of the runners practiced their butts of and who knew they were going to get disqualified???? I mean that's all bad and stuff but look at the bright side... DAYTON IS STILL # 4 in the state and They still ran a 3:18..... and that's still faster than what bh runs. So they're going to come back next year and redeem themselves and yeah for the bh kids and coaches.... If yall really want to get real with it come play dayton in a good ole' fashioned game of BRONCO football and that'll really show where your heart is.
