AshlyHasBeen Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Early voting numbers for PN-G bond issue has 63 pct voting yes. This means a top notch football facility with turf plus a new baseball/softball complex.
KFDM COOP Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Yes looks like PNG will be the first to get Turf in SE Texas. Huffman is also getting it.
AshlyHasBeen Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 I think he was thinking more of the triangle area, Dayton is out of the viewing area but not our hearts ;D
SETEXFan Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Very good. Getting a little nervous there. We like to consider ourself a part of the Trinagle, at least for another year, thanks to the UIL. We may be the step-child but we like it down there.
Guest LCM Volleyball Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 LCM will get it sooner than later.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 If the bond passes, when would construction start????I've heard they are taking out the end zone section and increasing the width of both sides, what else is involved???
AshlyHasBeen Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 Not exactly sure, along with the new turf there will be a 2 story press box, extra track lane, the extended stands that you spoke of plus a facade will be surrounding the stands with brick to match the school.
AshlyHasBeen Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 Capacity will be 12,343 with construction for 2008 I believe.
KFDM COOP Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Good deal. I believe once PN-G gets this that other Schools will slowly as well.
Guest etbu Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Good stuff PNG but are you guys getting a jumbotron?
Guest WBFan09 Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 BISD has a bond issue that would provide a brand new stadium for all three teams to share...personally i would rather have our own stadium it allows for more pride about your school...then again sitting in nice cushioned seats cant hurt either...with modifications happening with Cardinal Stadium maybe Ozen could stil use that renovated stadium and BISD could redo West Brooks and Centrals stadiums...but with BISD i doubt it
AshlyHasBeen Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 Don't think so, They just got a new scoreboard with a single color video board. I have been told it can eventually be raplaced with full jumbotron.
Guest WBFan09 Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 definatley model it after Galena Park I.S.D. stadium...it is the perfect high school score board

BadKarma Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Good the Reservation has been looking more like a trailor park than a stadium in the last few years!
AggiesAreWe Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Great news for the PNG fans. Looking forward to seeing the new and improved Reservation. I hope PNG and Silsbee can keep this home and home series going till then. The PNG fans will get to see our new Tiger Stadium next year for the first time. I find our stadium quite unique.
knightrider Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 i hope that all the schools can get field turf. much easier on the legs and alot less knee injuries. plus, it looks so nice for the kids to play on. updates are great for the kids. believe me, in the long run, it'll pay for itself. ;D

AggiesAreWe Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Did I miss something? We played Silsbee there in a game a few yrs ago. It was a beautiful stadium then. What's changed since then? You are right PNG Proud, I had forgotten about those last 2 years in 4A( going 1-19 would make you tend to want to forget ). I do know that we have added more seating since then with the horseshoe part added 2 years ago. A couple of other cosmetic changes have been added since we last played ya'll there.
BUNA95 Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 The new turf might bring more playoff games to the area.
