Here is the Current House Show Card WWE is Running at SD/ECW House Shows

WWE Smackdown & ECW House Show Results - 5/13/07

Location: White Plains, New York

7:00pm Show

The show started with Howard Fink coming to the ring. An interesting start to the show... He described a WWE employee who they lost 6 weeks ago. He described the life of Arnold Skoland. He said Arnold called White Plains his home and they had a 10 ring salute to Arnold Skoland.

The Fink then introduced Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long. He came out and introduced two of the matches for the evening. The loudest boo of the night came for Edge when he mentioned Edge would be there. Batista got the LOUDEST pop of the night when he was announced as being there. Sitting next to me were these two gorgeous girls who kept leaving to go pound down beers all night. They had no clue who the wrestlers were and I don't think they looked at the ring once... but I always love staring at all. Ok, now, it's showtime!!

MATCH 1: CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer DEF Elijah Burke and Matt Striker (My Teacher!!)

This was a great way to start the show. This was a fast paced match with lots of action. CM Punk was probably the number 2 loudest pop of the night. The fans in White Plains were going crazy for Punk! There were about 3 Matt Striker fans in attendence (me being 1 of them) so needless to say, "Let's Go Striker" chants didn't go very far. CM Punk hits his finisher on Elijah Burke and gets the pinfall. After the match, Tommy Dreamer grabbed the mic and talked about how he loved wrestling with ECW in White Plains and how everyone knew that the fans in White Plains were crazy tough sons of bitches. He then went on to ask the crowd if they thought CM Punk was ready to take the next step towards taking over ECW and the fans again went crazy for Punk. A great way to start the show!

MATCH 2: Mark Henry DEF Jimmy Wang Yang

This was an awful match. Mark Henry dominated early and Mark Henry won in a squash. We were really hoping this would be the only squash of the night... there is a second coming up. The only offense Yang has was when he kicked Henry in the knee, quickly climbed to the top rope, and went for a moonsault. Mark Henry did show his strength when he caught Yang without flinching or moving at all and slammed Yang down for the pin. Henry then had a shouting match with a fan at ringside before leaving.

MATCH 3: Kristal DEF Jillian Hall by DQ with Michelle McCool as the Special Referee

This was a great match for one reason... ok, 6 reasons! Michelle McCool has this tight referees top on that was incredible. Jillian sang before the match started (wow to her too). Jillian was attacking Kristal. When Michelle went to break it up, Jillian shoved her causing the DQ. Jillian then slapped Michelle in the face, causing a double suplex from Michelle and Kristal. We were all winners in this match.

MATCH 4: Deuce and Domino DEF Paul London/Brian Kendrick AND Chavo Guerrero/Gregory Helmes in the 3 way Elimination Match (Retain the Tag Team Titles)

This match had a lot of hype but didn't live up to it. In a long dragging match, there wasn't much action. Helmes and Chavo are eliminated by DQ when they double team Paul London. After some small offense from London, Cherry distracts London long enough for Deuce and Domino to get the pinfall. Deuce and Domino retain. My friend Matt and I were discussing during the match what we could describe Cherry as and we came up with a busted Sunny. She has an incredible body, nice boobs, but her face is awful. So Cherry = Busted Sunny

MATCH 5: Kane DEF Finlay

Everyone thought this was the intermission. Once both men were out to ringside, Finlay literally spent 10 minutes walking around ringside while Kane just stood there (looking bored). Finlay kept fighting with fans, walking around very slowly. It was honestly 10 minutes, so we assumed that was "intermission". Finally the match started and Finlay put on his 2 or 3 moves. Back and forth action. At some point, Finlay took off a turnbuckle, which Kane would ultimately end up hitting his arm. Finally Finlay hit the exposed turnbuckle and hit a slam. Kane hit the clothesline off the top rope and was ready for the chokeslam. Finlay got out of it and hit Kane with the sheileligh (yea thats not spelled right). Kane kicks out and hits the chokeslam for the win.

First Fink announces the Nassau Colesium SmackDown/ECW show on October 30th.

"A Brief" INTERMISSION (Even though we basically had one in the beginning of Kane-Finlay and now we sat through another 20 minute one)

MATCH 6: Marcus Cor Van DEF Rob Van Dam in an "Extreme" Rules match

I put extreme in quotations because when they advertised extreme, they should've just said a black steel chair match. That was the only thing that made it extreme. After Cor Van led most of the match, Van Dam got the chair and drop kicked it in Cor Von's face and then gave him Rolling Thunder with the chair. Van Dam ran at Cor Von in the corner and Cor Von threw Van Dam into the steel chair set up in the corner. Cor Von got the pin. There have been lots of bad matches on ECW on Sci Fi (and the ECW pay per views they have had) but this may have been the worst.

*Interesting side note about this match: My friend Matt and I realized this was a very unique match... it was TNA's past (Marcus Cor Von AKA Monty Brown) verses TNA's future (ROB-VAN-DAM) Bad match...

MATCH 7: Funaki DEF Anthony Pulaski?

OK, this was an interesting turn of events. We had just sat through the "extreme" match when Funaki's music hit. I was hoping for maybe Snitsky, Umaga, Sandman, Howard Finkel... anyone. Then some music hit and THIS GUY came out. The speaker system in the Westchester County Center needs some work, but it sounded like his name was Anthony Pulaski. Let me give you a visual of this guy, since I am sure none of you have ever seen or heard of him before: Picture a guy about 6'4" tall... next, picture the body type of Bastian Booger... then add boobs that are bigger than Candice Michelle's (I'm thinking he needs to watch Seinfeld's "bro" episode)... sideburns like the Honky Tonk Man... and the face of Gene Snitsky.... and you got Anthony Pulaski. Anyway, Pulaski misses a splash in the corner and Funaki rolls him up for the pin. The best part of the match? Charles Robinson AKA Little Nature Boy (WOOO!)

MATCH 8: Batista AND Chris Benoit DEF Edge AND MVP

Well, for it being a bad show up to this point, the main event saved the show. Batista got a huge ovation and received lots of love from the White Plains crowd. Lots and lots of action. Benoit hit lots of Ric Flair chops (WOOO!), lots of German Suplexes, a Crossface, a Sharp Shooter, and a flying headbutt. Batista hit a spear on Edge and a spinebuster on MVP. Edge hits Batista with the world title belt as MVP throws the Fink into the ring. As the ref helps Fink, Edge nails Batista but only gets a 2 count. Finally, Benoit gets the Crossface on MVP and he taps out. I hope they keep teaming Edge and MVP together. They have great chemistry as a team and could have some great tag matches. (How long until KENNEDY comes back?)

After the match, Batista and Benoit pose and go around the ring to shake hands. An interesting note on Batista: his right eye appeared to be swollen shut. Not sure if it was because of a previous match or from this match, but his eye was clearly swollen shut.

House show cards change all the time...Those shows are for 2 guys to wrestle in house for a while then bring the feud to TV.

RVD is being pulled in June from TV because he's leaving in Aug., that's why he is getting buried on TV by Umaga, etc...

Sabu was fired before the ECW taping on Tuesday because he showed up late. He was supposed to face Kevin Thorn and got pissy about it and showed up late and "forgot" his gear and they told him to take off and dont come back.

They also let get Vito and Rob Conway, which were both dead-weight.
