KFDM COOP Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Landon Womack- 4-7 HR 3RBI's Pitched 4 1/3 against Ned 5 k's Jerrod Dugas- 3-6 2RBI's SB WP verses Nederland 2 2/3 3 k's
FanOfTheGame Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 LCM's Landon Womack This kid showed his skills against two major district teams this week. PNG and Nederland PNG: 3 for 4 at the plate with the go ahead 2 run HR. And showed why he was nominated on this site as all area 1st Baseman, I'm still shaking my head about some of the plays this kid made on defense. Nederland: Starting Pitcher: Shutout Nederland for 4 1/3 innings with 7K's, came off the mound with a 4-0 lead and went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 doubles. Great Week
Lonewolf Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Both are very deserving and good numbers. Plus they are the only team (I think) that won both games this past week. So I guess it has to be between them. Both are very good at what they do and have helped their team out in several ways. Good Luck to both of them!!!!!!
jdawg03 Posted April 15, 2006 Author Report Posted April 15, 2006 its not about who won all their games...... now if it comes down to two players who are very close, that can and will be used in the decision making process what about the Powell kid from PNG...what were his stats?
Lonewolf Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 They were about the same as last week. Let me check a post from the game and I will get them for you. The only thing with him is this week they played LCM and he was 0-4. Last week he had 2 good games. This week only one. Womack had 2 very good games. It should go to Womack. Womack had a super week. Nobody should be able to beat him this week....HANDS DOWN, but you never know The post that had his numbers in it is gone. So I will go from memory, I was at the game, 6 innings 1 unearned run(on a past ball) 9 K's 0 walks 3-5 1b, 2b, 2b 4 RBI's 3 runners picked off, 1st base --------------------------------------- I think he had 3 runners picked off last week also, (if not 2 for sure)
adminbaberuth Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Those are some gaudy numbers for the Powell kid. Nothing against the other kids at PNG, but Powell 's back must be like mine, sore . Womack had a career this week, if someone else can't post numbers better, he's got my vote.
baseballdad Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 I got to see Womack last week great job,got my vote.
pngbbfan Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Womack had a great game against the Indians fielding and had the big HR. He gets my vote.
jdawg03 Posted April 18, 2006 Author Report Posted April 18, 2006 Taylor Hart- SS Jasper 9-11 5 doubles, 5 stolen bases, 7 runs scored, 3 rbi's batting .540 in district
bear Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Womack's performances vs. PNG and Nederland get my vote, but I am partial.
adminbaberuth Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Taylor Hart- SS Jasper 9-11 5 doubles' date=' 5 stolen bases, 7 runs scored, 3 rbi's batting .540 in district[/quote'] 9-11 is good, but 5 doubles, that's swinging it.
FanOfTheGame Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Womack's numbers against PNG and Nederland, It's going to be hard to beat that. Still has my vote. Great Week! Jasper's Taylor Hart
sofresh5896 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Womack player of week....but what about district mvp, his numbers have been through the roof..
jdawg03 Posted April 18, 2006 Author Report Posted April 18, 2006 what are Womack's stats...one post has him going 4-7, while another has him 7-8...which is it?
MIF04 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Hard to argue with Womack ....although Powell and Hart obviously had very good weeks as well.
jdawg03 Posted April 18, 2006 Author Report Posted April 18, 2006 still lookin for correct stats on Womack
Bears Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Womack was 1-3 with a HR and a walk against PNG. Paper says 4-4 against Nederland, others say 3-4. I am not sure which AB was in question but worst case is 4-7 other would be 5-8. I need my stat man to fill in here with some numbers??????? Because all of this is by memory..........and it is getting old.
