KFDM COOP Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Tony Knight, who coached the Cardinal freshman boys basketball team last season, has been promoted to head coach of that program. He replaces long-time coach Rick Deutsch, who accepted a teaching job at a Houston-area district.“We’re excited about Tony leading our basketball program,†said first-year Bridge City Athletic Director Cris Stump. “He has a lot of energy and the kids all seem to like him a lot.â€
of backer Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 This is good for BC, not only is he a class guy, he knows the game and is an actual basketball guy. He will make a difference in that program.

212degrees Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Is this the same Tony Knight that played for BC in high school? If so, and I'd hope he's changed since then, he was a hothead....
