KFDM COOP Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 2 out of 3 series. Thursday 7PM in Woodville. Saturday Noon in Lufkin.
MIF04 Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 3 games . location and days tba. bc wanted 1 game....lost the flip.
Red1 Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 3 games . location and days tba. bc wanted 1 game....lost the flip. That surprises me.....wonder what the thinking was on BC's part??Carthage has a legitimate ace, that even when he's not on his peak gets picked up by the offense. I would have thought BC would want 3 games. But then again...what do I know!!Edited to add: After reading my post, some here may read it as a slam against Stringer, don't mean it that way at all. Jeff, is my ACE as well. When he keeps his emotions in check, he could put a dagger through any team in the state. I have always thought the best team comes out of a 3 game series...for sure it was proven with Needville.
shadow Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 bodies and arms are starting to breakdown, 1 game would have allowed some extra days to heal,,just a thought
KFDM COOP Posted May 19, 2007 Author Report Posted May 19, 2007 Game 1 Thursday at Woodville 7PMGame 2/3 Saturday Lufkin Noon
Red1 Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Got to go with my Cards.......in 3 games. The bats have to be sharp and I think they will, as we hit faster pitchers better then offspeed. I hope Hicks gets to feeling better......back spasms can be a.......pain. Defense has to be sharp, as they can hit the ball as well.Any predictions on the Cards pitching order?
East TX Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 This has got to be one of the best games being played this next weekend--the reigning Region III Champion & final four team, two years running against the State #1 undefeated team, Carthage. Carthage was also the 2005 State 3A Champions and beat BC up in Austin at the final four.Carthage came in loaded this season and BC graduated heavy and have continued to work to build a cohesive unit capable of playing on up the bracket ladder. It should be fun!
occupant Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Why would the BC coach only want one game? Does he not think they can win it in 3.
Guest Bulldog Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Carthage is good look at there record.....We wanted one game but we can manage three....... doesn't matter 1 or 3 we still believe!
KFDM COOP Posted May 20, 2007 Author Report Posted May 20, 2007 There also ranked in the nation as a 3A team.

Guest Bulldog Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Doesn't matter to me...... They haven't played BC yet.....
occupant Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Stringer the first game. Never save your best pitcher it might rain.
Red1 Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Records at this stage of the game are for the fans.......on the field to the players playing the game.......it should not matter. As Bulldog3 said, "They haven't played BC, yet!!"
BigRed88 Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I would rather a 1 gamer but now I will have to pick BC in two easy games.Â
Guest Bulldog Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I would rather a 1 gamer but now I will have to pick BC in two easy games.  Loven that..... ;D
ant ddr Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 In a one game series anything can happen Carthage Has more than one good picther Rollins and Baker are both out standing pictchers most teams only have one good pitcher, and also they have great hitting ;D
tigerpride_08 Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 i say it goes 3 but goes in favor of Carthage...they aren't undefeated for nothing...
redbirdbaseball Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 BC's up against a team that hasn't lost a game all season. Would they have a better chance at having one good night or two? Lightning can strike once, but rarely does so in the same place again.Just think about it -- it's pretty simple.

Gabe Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Of course Im going with the Cards. Like Troy Bolton told me once this year, how many times does the No. 1 team actually win it all? You figure they have to lose at some point so why not this upcoming week?
j_dog Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I think BC wins it in 3 games in a mild upset. BC can hang with them. Carthage is very good, but so is BC! Â
