News media coverage for soccer

Why does KFDM and other TV networks or newspapers not cover MLS scores and highlights like they do for other sports?

We do have a Houston team and they were the champs last season.

because soccer is an inferior sport in the eyes of the media.  women's golf gets more coverage than soccer.

Also the national feeds rarely send down highlights. Everytime they've actually sent down Dynamo or FC Dallas I show it. I also show the US national team, of course some of my friends in the media ask what was I thinking but while I don't think it's a premier sport yet in the US there is plenty of interest. I actually love to watch soccer (more than NASCAR, don't tell too many people  ;D

I'll second what Ashley said, associated press doesnt always send out what the MLS is up to.
