Guest DickVitale Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I would like to be the first to congratulate my dad, Houston Kashmere basketball coach Walter Yates, Sr. on a SPECTACULAR 43 year career!!! 20 years as Houston Davis' head coach, 12 years as Houston Madison's head coach and 11 years, wrapping up your career as Houston Kashmere's head coach....Career record 968 wins and 387 losses, and countless numbers of inspired young men...(sidenote- missed 4 days of work in 43 years!)..You are a class act all the way and my hero!! Enjoy your retirement! You deserve it!! ;D
