KFDM COOP Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Just a tad to short, that's it though.
Raider88 Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Chip Ambres from West Brook. Best running and passing QB I have ever seen from this area. I wish he would have picked Football instead of baseball I think he would still be playing today on Sundays.
Champion Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 You could put Beasley up there with Young. A friend of mine in Austin that talks with the UT coaches alot said they have told him that. Coop if this is true wouldn't he have been recruited to playing QB for UT?
KFDM COOP Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 He's just a tad short. It has been talked about with the UT coaches though.
BigTuna Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Billy Pittman - Cameron Yoe Current UT WR 2nd team All Big 12 Gamebreaker, 4 year starter
Guest Kelly Football Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Running..Beasley Passing.....Long
raidernation Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I'll go with Todd Dodge. The Dodge/Duhon combo was the best i have ever seen. And that was against the best 5A schools in the state.
j_dog Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I saw that 3a McGee guy from Burnet who is now at A&M. He was way better than anyone I have ever seen, at any level. And he played Jasper while injured. A&M seems to like him also.
j_dog Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Billy Pittman - Cameron Yoe Current UT WR 2nd team All Big 12 Gamebreaker' date=' 4 year starter[/quote'] He is a better WR. The game I saw him in, he didn't do very much.
Guest ECBucFan Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Drew Tate, Baytown Lee. Saw him vs. PAM one night when EC wasn't playing. Also played safety on defense. He is a top QB at Iowa, now.
Guest Cherokee Nation Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Hands down Dustin Long.
NedDog Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Kendall Briles from Stephenville was pretty impressive.
JMay Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Vince Young was a man amongst boys. I loved the way he would just flip the ball 60 yards down field. It was easy of the Madison WR's to get open when no one could ever catch Young in the backfield.
ozens fastest@1906 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Chip Ambres best qb from this area a runner and passer thats why he is my pick..
setxcoach Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I have to agree with Adam Dunn. Could throw the ball on a rope and with touch. Best one I have ever played against or coached against hands down.
Hupernikomen Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I thought there was a NFL quarterback out of TJ many years ago..who was it?
JAWS Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Long, Dodge, Ford from SFA in the 80 also played at Oklahoma three year started option QB,
Pimp Smack Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 The best i have watched personally is Brad Sullivan. The way he lead his team, and his stats. Passing and scrambling he was a huge threat. If Sullivan wouldnt have gotten injured his senior year, in the semi-final game against baytown lee ned would have taken state. Kendall Briles from Stephenville was pretty impressive. yes briles was really good. i watched their game in the astrodome in the late 90's and he could scramble up the middle and be down field before you knew he even left the pocket.

Do you mean Smithson Valley?
Guest Cherokee Nation Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Baytown Lee has always been 5A. Nederland did not play them in the semi-finals.
Lucky Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Keep singing BigBird.......Dishon will be gone after next year.....THEN WHAT????? OUCH ! He does have a good point !
NedDog Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Sullivan got injured in the Bi-District game against Ozen at Bulldog Stadium. The following week, Sophomore Kevin Barbay led the Bulldogs to a Regional playoff victory against the Jacksonville Indians in the Astrodome. Sullivan took the field the following week in the D-I Quarter-Finals agaist Texas City. Although he gave it all he had, Sullivan was still feeling pain from the injury he suffered two weeks earlier. RB Ross LaBove was inured in the game against Texas City, as was Ned's 1st string kicker (his name escapes me at the moment  ). Texas City went on to win the 1998 4A D-I Championship.
baddog Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I remember that Texas City game. Brad had an injured shoulder and TC came after it. Best QB I have seen is Dustin Hood.
mid-countyfan Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 todd dodgeand then dustin hood
