txprepfan Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Good call by the Aeros to get Constantine, of course anyone wouldhave been better than Rob Daum who was obviously overmatchedin his pro coaching debut producing the worst season in Aerosfranchise history in 06-07. With a new experienced coachknown for being a good teacher of the game and some excellentyoung talent in the Wild organization, hopefully we can get backto our winning ways and perhaps a realistic Calder Cup run.
hockeyfan Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Good move for the Aeros! Daum was the coach of the University of Alberta hockey team, and was great there.Maybe he should stick to coaching college. The U. of A. is one of the top colleges in Canada, with an outstanding hockey team.I've been on their campus before and also seen the hockey rink that the Golden Bears and Pandas(women's team) play on.
txprepfan Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 You're right hockeyfan Daum was a good college coach, didn't he win championships at UA? But after watching theAeros several times this past season it was obvious that he may not have been ready for the pros. Hopefully hecan return to the college level and his winning ways.Excited about Constantine coming in as coach, we neededsomeone with some pro experience similar to Todd McClellanwho won us a cup in 03 and is now an assistant for the Red Wings.
