j_dog Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 were there not a lot of errors for BC when they played at Jasper?Yes, there were some. Jasper scored 3 runs on only one hit, which did not figure in the scoring. Running like crazy helped also.
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 my thought was why walk him if he does get a hit it is only going to cost you one run....and with a 5 run lead....just dont think i would have but hey that is my opinion...and for stringer to question it like he did ..very very stupid and disrespectful......hes the coach and your the player....me personally iwould not stand for that kind of disrespect i dont care who the kid is..period....
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 jasper is definiltey in the drivers seat and they showed tonight there picthcing is just as if not deeper than b.c.'s....stevenson was definiltey the difference ..but also jasper didnt quit when they got down 5...not syaing b.c. did after the wheels fell off but hte air was definiltely taken out of there sail....they just have to forget about tonight and come ready to play tomorrow
Guest Unreal-Skill Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 The attendance at the game was announced at 2,146 people
KFDM COOP Posted June 1, 2007 Author Report Posted June 1, 2007 I believe the errors were 5 for BC 4 for Jasper.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 i think I will wait a couple of hours then come back on just in time to hear from everybody that went to the game. should be real fun to read ;D
bevo Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 my thought was why walk him if he does get a hit it is only going to cost you one run....and with a 5 run lead....just dont think i would have but hey that is my opinion...and for stringer to question it like he did ..very very stupid and disrespectful......hes the coach and your the player....me personally iwould not stand for that kind of disrespect i dont care who the kid is..period....I was thinking the same thing. You can never as a player and especially a high school player ever, ever, ever question your coach like that. I promise if you do that in college you will be sitting in the stands and not on the field. He may not be making the right move, but that is not your decision to question. Then in the last inning. Stand at the plate and watch the ball while you should be running is terrible. That should have been a double that was turned into a single because of lack of concentration. Never think you are bigger then the game. It will beat you. Sorry, for calling someone out on this site. Your a good player, but attitudes ruin good players.
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 and with that attitude that will get you know where in life and with the talent that is there it would be a shame to waste it....just pitch and hit and leave the managing to the coach...
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 bc was up 6-1 jasper had two outs and runner on second..they intentionally walked the leadoff batter ....the next guy hits a triple and they end up scoring five runs that inning....
shs85 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Sounds like everyone wants to put the blame on the coach, but he can't make the plays on the field for you!! I can tell you one thing, the player that had a problem with what the coach decided, would enjoy the next game on the bench!!Don't care who he is!!!!
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 maybe not but he made the move and it didnt work...but he didnt make 5 errors either and he didnt quit hitting the ball after the third inning either..
shs85 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Great job Jasper, you know that the fans in Silsbee are pulling for ya'll!
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 you just dont show the coach up like that..i know i am going on about this but it really irritates me to no end when players act like that....
injun Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I was hoping coaching didn't become a factor in this series...
injun Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I wasn't at the game but weren't there two outs?? Why put another runner on base?
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 yes there was and i would not have walked him either but in my opinion that only cost them two runs..i think the next batter got on by error i could be wrong but i know they scored there nextfive runs by errors so i would say the errors is really what cost them..
shs85 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Somebody said that BC had 5 errors and Jasper had 4! Was these fielding or throwing?
jacf Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 both ..most of b.c.s were throwing errors i think
