Special Olympics Funding Cuts

Story is all over the news - This would be a great time for a large company to bridge the gap in funding to sponsor it.

Trump made a great decision to keep funding to the Special Olympics, but he chose the wrong Secretary of Education.

I agree with both statements, however, I don’t think we should even have a SOE or a Department of Education.

Another reason why the government should shrink rather than continue to grow

There are some things it does I like, but it could easily be shrunk and absorbed by another dept.

It sounds good in theory , except if you were stuck in a crappy district like I was . Wasn’t there an article a while back about how much Beaumont lagged behind in education?

Not saying the DOE is the solution either, obviously throwing money at a problem hasn’t fixed it. Our country has real underlying issues that probably won’t be addressed as it’s not PC. That, and we pay our teachers poo, so real talent flocks to other industries.
