txprepfan Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Anticipating a WOS-Giddings final. Rumor from Giddingsis that QB Fitzhenry is being moved to WR and RB Dock will be the new QB as Fitzhenry is comingoff knee surgery in the off season.
KFDM COOP Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 To take the load off Fitzhenry he was moved to WR..Had his Surgery to late in my opinion.
stang4life Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Can someone please tell me how old Fitzhenry is? I heard that he was 19 and a junior last season. Just wondering! ???
txprepfan Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Posted June 6, 2007 I have heard rumors about Fitzhenry's age as well, don't know for sure but have also heard that hisdad (HC at Giddings) applied for jobs at Sealyand Tomball but was turned down potentially becauseof his sons age.
KFDM COOP Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 He would have to be of age to be playing. They wouldn't risk getting in trouble like that. See what you can find out prepfan.
rapayne Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 I will be there covering Diboll mainly, but I can post some info during the day. I will tell you the Lumberjacks are looking pretty good with Lufkin and Livingston every week up here and could upset some folks.

stang4life Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 The rumor that I heard was that because of his knee injury, UIL granted him a waiver. If it is true...I don't agree with the ruling because he is already too old and his injury came in his last game of the season. Don't get me wrong, he is a good player, but he needs to get his diploma and go on to college. (Reminds me of the old days when boys were held back a year or two to allow them to "mature" and "have an edge on other players". :)
KFDM COOP Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 That don't sound right. If a kid is to old to play in HS i doubt they would grant a Waiver.
rapayne Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Talked to a UIL source this morning and there is no way with the age thing happening that they would do that, however no info on this specific situation. It did not even seem real possible to get an extra year under the age, very rare.
