KFDM COOP Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Congrats Kirbyville! They could win the district as predicted.
KFDM COOP Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 22 4A looks ok, Ozen may end up better this year though!
stevieray Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 I love the #2 ranking , but WF-Rider is a extremely dangerous team. Stephenville and Rider meet up on Sept. 15th in Wichita Falls....will be a shootout.
Guest wos country Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT ON WOS. YOUNG TEAM WE LACK A GOOD OC. NEXT SEASON WE HAVE ALL OUR PLAYERS BACK THOUGH.
WOS87 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Class 3A1. Giddings2. Liberty-Eylau3. Snyder4. Royse City5. Liberty Hill12. Kirbyville16. WO-S21-3A predictions1. Kirbyville2. WO-S3. Silsbee4. Hardin-JeffWorks for me... I predict the district runnerup will advance further in the Division II playoffs than the district top seed. Unless something happens to Fitzhenry, whoever wins 21-3A will run into #1 Giddings in the 2nd round again.... and they should be even stronger than they were the past 2 seasons...
JoeBuck111 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Dayton's tough, but watch out for Nederland ;D
WOS87 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 DCTF quote - "Team outlook: It would appear that coach Dan Hooks has a major rebuilding task facing him but Hooks has rebuilt Stark teams in the past. Â The Mustangs are fast all over -- right now its just untapped speed." Â
WOS87 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Oh yeah... I forgot to put where the quote came from.... it's from the 1987 issue.   ;DWe were picked to finish 2nd in district that year too.
Guest Yard Bird Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Does anyone know which store will have them on Monday?
TradinUp BH Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 What does KV have coming back for them to leap over WOS this year. Offensive/Defensive starters or athletes that WOS doesn't have. Just curious.
KFDM COOP Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 From wos87Dave Campbell's correctly predicted on average about one State Champion per year since the magazine started in 1960 and more recently they've been even more accurate than that with 19 of their preseason #1's winning a State Championship over the past 10 years. 2006 - Tatum (2A)2006 - Richland Springs (6-man)2005 - Southlake Carroll (5A)2005 - Newton (2A)2005 - Throckmorton (6-man)2004 - Southlake Carroll (5A)2004 - Ennis (4A)2004 - Richland Springs (6-man)2002 - Everman (3A)2002 - Petrolia (1A)2001 - Lufkin (5A)2001 - Celina (2A)2000 - Panther Creek (6-man)1999 - Midland Lee (5A)1999 - Stephenville (4A)1998 - Omaha Pewitt (2A)1998 - Tenaha (1A)1997 - La Marque (4A)1997 - Sealy (3A)
jmspears3 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 I love the #2 ranking , but WF-Rider is a extremely dangerous team. Stephenville and Rider meet up on Sept. 15th in Wichita Falls....will be a shootout. What a great game that will be, they will probably meet in November as well ;D
Guest Wildcat 08 Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 It's been a while since we've been picked. I guess having all our starters back helps. I've read where some of the WOS posters are downing their team because of an OC but they'll be there are close to it in the end.
wos08 Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 21-3A predictions1. Kirbyville2. WO-S3. Silsbee4. JasperExactly what i had in mindWOS isnt going anywhere anytime soon, as long as the OC is there.
Hupernikomen Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Works for me... I predict the district runnerup will advance further in the Division II playoffs than the district top seed. Unless something happens to Fitzhenry, whoever wins 21-3A will run into #1 Giddings in the 2nd round again.... and they should be even stronger than they were the past 2 seasons...That Fitzhenry kid is a load. Giddings will be very hard to beat this year.
Guest Ozen Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 I think Ozen is picked to low. We'll be much better this year!
wosmustangs Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 I got mine today at Barnes and Noble Round Rock......
griff Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Kirbyville is worthy of their pre-season ranking. They made a strong showing last year and with most of their team back, plus the confidence they've built in the last few years, I expect them to give us (WO-S) a run for their money. We'll see in November where they stand, but for now, they're deserving of the ranking.Â
