According to KFDM COOP, 100 kids were in the weight room this morning. That's a great start and the Bulldogs should be a top-tier program again very soon.

i agree that jasper is rebuilding quickly but i was lifting in their this morning and there werent 100 people in there. but there were alot for that early in the morning and thats a great sign of a will to win from all the players there.

Is it an organized workout with coaches in there? Or are kids just showing up and lifting at a certain time?

coaches can be their working their kids out, just can't be mandated by the coaches.  Unlike what the westbrook coaches said in the beaumont paper.

UIL allows a coach to work out any athlete for 2 hours per day in strength training and conditioning up to a certain date in the summer.  However, the workouts cannot contain any sport specific skill training and no athlete can be mandated to participate.

I don't care about all that... I was just wondering if the Jasper coaches were there working the kids out for support, or if the kids are just going up there themselves working out. Sounds like they are pretty intent on getting back on the winning track!

I hope they get it turned around, that district is not the same with Jasper being down.
