BREAKING NEWS: Anahuac to offer Barbay job

Sources close to Anahuac ISD claim that the school board will endorse Hull-Daisetta athletic director and head football coach Darrell Barbay to fill the same position in Anahuac.

The school had narrowed the search down to four which included Barbay, Duane Joubert (Kountze basketball), Paul Broussard (former Hamshire-Fannett defensive coordinator) and David Westfall (West Hardin AD/HFC).

Barbay, the son of legendary Newton football coach Curtis Barbay, has spent the last eight seasons at Hull-Daisetta compiling a record of 41-32 (.561).

Barbay has not yet accepted the offer.
