Morgan Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 do you mean "all state", or "all tournament" ? they are different things i think. ???Parsons for sure is on the all tournament team.well his mom told me all state.....she said that mr. parsons found it this morning in an email or something......
KFDM COOP Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Believe just the All State Tourny Team is out as of now.
j_dog Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 well his mom told me all state.....she said that mr. parsons found it this morning in an email or something......I think many people confuse the two.
Morgan Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 I think many people confuse the two.well then i may be wrong lol....
bulldog16 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 The THSBCA officers met at the state tournament to pick the all state team...one thing is for sure, if a player was selected to play in the all star game then they are on the all state list, so from district 21-3A we know for sure that Dishon and Calhoun were both all state selections.Try the THSBCA website, they usually have this information.
jdawg03 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 The THSBCA All Star Team, and All State Team are two different things, and have nothing to do with each other.. The All State Team is chosen by newspaper writers throughout the state. The THSBCA team has been out for several weeks now (see stickied thread). I dont know when the All State Team comes out, but I do know that its not out yet...We'll have it as soon as it comes out.
bulldog16 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 There are 2 different all state teams...the one that is picked by the THSBCA and the one that is picked by the sportswriters...the all star team and all state team are nominated by the coaches picked by the THSBCA officers...yes the all star team has been picked and is out, the all state team was picked at the state tournament and will be out soon....The all state team that is picked by the sportswriters, while they are often similar, has nothing to do with the THSBCA...
bulldog16 Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 The 5A team is posted and the 4A team is blank which probably means check back later today and it'll be posted...THSBCA.com

j_dog Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 all the setx players on there deserve to be on there, especially jeff stringer but why is there no jasper players?Because these selections have nothing to do with the tournament and because Jasper flew in under the radar. I expect it will be different next year when players like Parsons, Hart, and Bronson are seniors and when Jasper will be watched closely as defending state champions.
Critter Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Exactly Jasper played as a team all year, not one player dominated for Jasper, it was a team effort all year.
