The two Warren kids are fine players, but maybe a little over-rated. The one game I watched Warren play last year they combined for 19 points against a 1A school. They are good shooters, but I think that's the only dimension they excel at. Good players, probably good kids, but they don't belong on top 10 list of local players for the upcoming year. Granger was clearly the best player on Warren's team last year, and he didn't belong on the top 10 list. Not trying to be a hater Warren fans, just giving my thoughts.

#1 - Thomas (EC)

#2 - Brown (PM)

#3 - Joseph (OZ)

#4 - Bray (K)

#5 - Frank (OZ)

Honorable Mention: Burrell (HJ), Copeland (WH)

I hope thats not in THAT order!!  :o Brown is clearly going to be the area'a best. Decarlos Frank is going to be a stud, too.

Yes, I listed them in that specific order. I know in my heart of hearts that Brown is the most talented player, but I can't put him at #1 when his attitude isn't #1. I don't know either kid personally, but it seems that Thomas combines the ability with the attitude so he gets my vote.

Tremaine is a GREAT kid, and an outstanding talent, but......J'Covan is THE area's top talent, attitude or not.  His actions may hurt his team and his recruitment if he doesn't get it together, but there's no doubt that he can really go!

There is no doubt that Brown can be the best around, However you just never know what your going to get with him.  With Thomas you know.  I rarely have the chance to see J'Covan play but when I have there has been problems.  It really breaks my heart to see him risk such a bright future.  We have been playing against Tramaine forever and he always been a class act.

Brown is probably the best all around player to come thru se texas in years. He has the complete package, I have watched him several times this year and have been impressed.Sometimes I think he gets criticized just a bit simply because he's JCovan. Thomas is close second ,great kid and super athelete.Penetrates as well as JB but doesnt shoot quite as well as JCovan from behind the arc. Both these guys will have super senior seasons.

Warren played a completely different style of ball last year where alot of times their outside shooters wouldn't take but 3 or 4 shots a game.Granger was a really good football player but there were several kids on Warrens club that were as good or better bball players.Warrens top 3 scorers (Sims,Granger and Andrews) were seperated by less than 20 points. The biggest difference was all of Grangers cames from in the paint while Andrews favors the mid range jumper and Sims shoots the 3 ball.Neither Warren kid has been rated although Sims is on the players to watch list.I do know he has hit 134-3 pointers and shot 82% from the free throw line over the last 2 seasons. His biggest fault on the court is he is TO unselfish,I,ve seen him light it up for 25 or 30 on lots of occasions.Your right though, Brown and Thomas are the big dogs in the pack.Might also want to keep an eye on Jarvis Bernard from HJ, he is a game changer.
