Bigdog Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 Found out today that the new jumbotron for Bulldog stadium is a go!! ;D ;DThe screen which will cost about $1 million, will be in place for the first home game this season!!I have concept drawings that I will try to get uploaded, and I will take pictures as they build it.No cost to the taxpayers!!
Bigdog Posted June 14, 2007 Author Report Posted June 14, 2007 Yeah, according to the drawings, the screen itself will be 14'2" by 17' . The rest of it will be the scoreboard and sponsers. I think it will also have instant replay capability.

I'm stilll ticked PNG ISD didnt take advantage of the great gift Huntsman gave them and get a top-notch scoreboard at NDN Stadium. Sure the one we got is nice, but it could have been much much more with a little thinking on their part. That green screen is annoying.

Guest airitout123 Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 They need to build a new stadium to hold the new board. As successful as Jasper has been I wish they would build a better stadium. But, if the folks in Jasper like the charm of the old stadium then improvements would be the answer.
Bigdog Posted June 15, 2007 Author Report Posted June 15, 2007 The stadium itself is not in bad shape. The stands are sound and the track is only a few years old. We just need to redo the fencing, turf and someother things to get it up to par.
