Bigdog
Yeah, according to the drawings, the screen itself will be 14'2" by 17' . The rest of it will be the scoreboard and sponsers. I think it will also have instant replay capability.

Guest etbu
How are you paying for it?
Bigdog
Sponsorships from local business. The sales team did a good job beating the bushes for sponsors. Here is a link from a Mid-County Chronicle article from a couple of months ago.http://www.midcountychronicle.com/news/2007/0328/Front_Page/001.html
adminbaberuth
The scoreboard will be nice, and a big thanks to all the sponsors who stepped up to the plate.Turf would have been my 1st choice, how would it had looked from the stands if the sponsors had their logo's imprinted on the field? AshlyHasBeen
I hope we never see corporate logos on out local football fields, it would remind me of the Canadian League.
Bigdog
I'm willing to bet a bond issue is in the near future. We will probably see turf and a new press box and maybe some other upgrades then.

Bigdog
I wouldn't be surprised if it was more, it depends on how many schools they replace.

Bigdog
Well, it would be more than just the stadium. I wouldn't mind 75 mil for a staduim though.

Guest etbu
Great job Nederland and goes to show you what happens when you have a man like Coach Neauman and the respect he has. What a geat move by NISD and for the kids to have something so nice. Great job.

PNG1992
Congrats on the new board. I'm stilll ticked PNG ISD didnt take advantage of the great gift Huntsman gave them and get a top-notch scoreboard at NDN Stadium. Sure the one we got is nice, but it could have been much much more with a little thinking on their part. That green screen is annoying.
Bigdog
It is kind of hard on the eyes. Thats ok, yall are getting some pretty good upgrades to your stadium too. When is all that slated to start?

Bigdog
Not yet. If the bond comes up like I think it will, turf will probably be part of that.

Guest airitout123
They need to build a new stadium to hold the new board. As successful as Jasper has been I wish they would build a better stadium. But, if the folks in Jasper like the charm of the old stadium then improvements would be the answer. Bigdog
The stadium itself is not in bad shape. The stands are sound and the track is only a few years old. We just need to redo the fencing, turf and someother things to get it up to par.
