I don't have a dog in this fight.. but.. it kind of does matter.  Which rule is being broken?.. and what coach, player, referee, or other member was called a name?  The only reason I bring it up is that I post some things every once in a while that people probably don't like but I still don't break the forum rules.  Like if I said some school was a blazing dumpster fire.. probably offensive but not against the rules.

This isn't against the rules either.

18 ) The bashing of any particular coach, player, referee, etc will not be tolerated. This includes issues involving their personal lives, coaching/playing style or performance, past experiences, etc.

that extends to peoples towns as well.

Thanks for clearing it up.  That ETC is a little subjective, though.  Might be better clarified to specifically say "coach, referee, or any person(s) tied to any particular school/town."

I got you though.

Ok.... If I can't criticize a team, coach, ref, player, play, penalty, past experiences, towns, etc.... What about the weather?  Is it okay to bash the weather?

What is this site for?  Just to rah-rah my own team?  I can admit that I occasionally cross "the line," but sometimes you guys are a little too touchy.

And if someone said that about your town in a generalization how would you feel about it?  Some people think they can get on here and say whatever they want, that is not the case.

Of course it happens... I'm not mad.  I die laughing when the Newton people come back with their "living in a van down by Bailey's Fish Camp" blasts.

I miss the days when upon hearing an insult, we'd fire back with one of our own.  Now-a-days we just get all indignant and complain about "bullying" or "privilege" or whatever else excuse that losers can come up with.  There's a big difference between some good ol' fashion "jawing" and outright abuse.  Nothing in this thread has come close to that in my opinion.

Heck, what do y’all expect. Cardinal doesn’t even back his own home team !!! He talks a lot of crap about bc and every other town. I think now that his son has graduated already, he needs to get off this site. Dude , Cardinal backer, enough already. Your son was on that bc team that went 3 deep and you think you’re all bad and sh**!  But you’re just a trash talker that is immature for his age

That’s a stretch , but I will conform west Hardin is a great place and the reason why people hate on West Hardin is becuase of systemic racism.

That’s what I’m talking about!

Whats up with the Urban Meyer handle? It’s 2019, bruh... you can’t be supporting a coach that hires and protects woman fighters.

I was hoping Danny Villanueva would get a shot at this one.  Oh well, maybe it's a good thing Big V didn't get it.  Congrats to Coach Taylor!

This guys name tends to pop up for every small school job there is. Weren't you the guy who thought he should get the Livingston job when he was the baseball coach at HD?

I can't remember that far back but I can assure you I'm not Danny.

About the School Board interference, I hope you guys don’t think that’s unique to West Hardin, or just small schools.  It may pull more weight in a small school, but that poo goes on all over.  Lucky are the schools who don’t have this problem.

Didn’t GCM give up like 400 points last year? I’m not knocking the guy at all, and wish him the best, but that’s a lotta points

It's not about x's and o's. Its about Larry's and Joe's.

GCM was short on the Larry's and Joe's when they gave up lots of points to New Caney, Kingwood Park and Porter.

Debatable..  But we are always shorter on Larrys and Joes 80% of the time.. Schemes can help.

    • Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.  We'll be at McnNeese this Friday night at 6pm.
    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an easy and obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
    • @CIS_org National Security Senior Fellow @BensmanTodd tells Steve Bannon how the U.S. State Department and USAID have been sending American taxpayer funds to religious nonprofits to facilitate mass immigration to our southern border. Bensman says 248 nonprofits are participating in the United Nations’ 2024 agenda to distribute $1.6 billion in cash, transportation, food, and shelter to U.S.-bound immigrants across Mexico and Latin America.
