A statement from Newton ISD Superintendent Michelle Barrow:

"There will be a memorial service for Coach W.T. Johnston on Wednesday, May 15th at 6:30 pm at the Newton High School football stadium.  As we celebrate the life of Coach W.T. Johnston, the family requests students and coaches attending from the surrounding area wear their school colors to the memorial service.

I'm not sure anyone will ever fathom the span of the influence this man had. Not just on his players, but on all associated with TXHSFB. He is a testament to perseverance and faith while facing incredible trial. Prayers to his family and thankful his legacy will live on in Newton through those he has touched and his son.
